In loving memory of Agnes "Diane" Dillon Sampson, age 68, of Beckley, WV who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley with her family by her side, following a short but courageous batter with cancer.
Born on August 11, 1955 in Sandlick, WV, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Viola Wiseman Dillon.
Diane was a homemaker, and a member of Spruce Tabernacle Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Andrew Sampson; a son Andrew "Little Andy" Lee Sampson; a sister Goldie Ann Maynor; three brothers "Little John" Granville Dillon, Ronald Paul Dillon, and Delbert Dillon.
Diane was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Timothy Sampson(Stephanie), and a daughter Andrea Sampson(Brandon). She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jessica, Trinity, Steven Jr, and Isabella; three great grandchildren, Kevin, Christopher and Carter. Her brothers that survive her include, Neal Dillon (Lisa), Ed Dillon, Kenneth Dillon (Carolyn), Charles Dillon (Judy) and Dennis Dillon. She is also survived by three sisters, Anita Workman (Randy), Rose Hickman, and Lois Perry; two sisters-in-law, Rhonda and Kathy Dillon, and a brother-in-law Paul Maynor Sr; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family would like to thank the Bowers Hospice House for the care given to Diane; also to her son Timothy and daughter-in-law Stephanie, and brother Dennis Dillon for their care given to her.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2 PM with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Burial will follow at the Turner Cemetery at Upper Sandlick.
Pallbearers will be Timothy, Brandon, Steven Jr., Paul Jr., P.J., Paul and Tommy.
Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
