Ann Kelley, age 84, of Beckley, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.
Born on August 14, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Hellems and Idella Spence Hellems Alderman.
Mrs. Kelley was a former bookkeeper, and was a devoted pastor's wife to her late husband, Rev. Gerald Kelley. She lived 27 years of her life in Ohio, and was a resident of the Beckley area since 1982. Mrs. Kelley was a member of Bradley Freewill Baptist Church, and attended Sprague Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kelley was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Gerald Kelley; by brothers, Norman Hellems, Cecil Hellems, and Lorren "Johnny" Hellems.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Wanda Kelley of Grove City, Ohio, Linda Hoover of Barberton, Ohio, and Carolyn Sue Humm of Akron, Ohio. Brothers, Russell Alderman and wife Mary of New Franklin, Ohio, Merril Alderman and wife Sherri of Winter Haven, Florida, and Roger Alderman and wife Helen of Coco, Florida. Sisters-in-law, Kelly Kelley of Mesa, Arizona, and Phyllis Kelley of Mesa, Arizona; brother-in-law George Kelley and wife Donna of Rittman, Ohio. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Mrs. Kelley enjoyed being a pastor's wife and serving others. She loved cooking, baking and volunteering.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Sprague Freewill Baptist Church, on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Fred Lovell officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
