Anna Lee Massey

With a very heavy heart, we announce that Anna Lee Jewell Meador Massey, 82, of Daniels, West Virginia passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 5, 1943 at Ellison, West Virginia she was the daughter of Prince and Sylvia Meador of Ellison.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dewey Meador, Chester Meador, Roy Meador, Darrel Meador, Lester Meador, Joseph Meador, and Van Meador; and her sisters Mae Lilly, Francis Meador, and Jean Maddy.

Surviving brothers include Willie Dallas Meador and Donzie Meador, both of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

In her 82 years, Anna Lee has been married to the love of her life, Carl Edwin Massey of Daniels for 63 of those years. They shared three daughters together- Deanna Massey and deceased husband, Sheldon Bell of Montross, Virginia- Pamela Meador and her husband Michael of Daniels, West Virginia- and Sheila Barnett and her husband Donald of Shady Spring, West Virginia. She also leaves behind three wonderful grandchildren that she adored and beamed about with great pride- Zachary Meador of Daniels, Olivia Barnett and Samuel Barnett of Shady Spring. Her grandchildren were absolutely the moon and stars to her- and she was always quick to let others know how much she loved them!

Anna Lee has always been a steadfast supporter and the anchor of her family- and one of the most kind and giving people that one could ever hope to meet. She loved with all she had- and never left any doubt of her feelings and convictions. And she was tremendously loved…

Life without Anna Lee will never be the same. But we have faith that she is renewed in body and spirit- gathered with passed loved ones, and rejoicing at her Heavenly reward. She will most assuredly be missed here. But we know we can see her again. And what a celebration that will be! Until we meet again, we all love and will miss you, Anna Lee…

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, West Virginia. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Meador, Zachary Meador, Samuel Barnett, Donald Barnett, Nicholas Junkins, and Marvin Murdock.
