Annette Hall

Annette Browning Hall passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 at the age of 67 in West Virginia. She was born on February 16, 1957, and was the eldest of six children born to the late James and Elizabeth Kirsch Browning.

Annette graduated as the salutatorian of her class at Washington High School in Washington, Indiana, and continued her education at Vincennes University. She began her professional life as a legal secretary and later embarked on an accomplished career with the Federal Prison System.  Even though her career took her to Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia, she remained deeply connected to her Indiana roots and her many friends made along the way.

During her time in North Carolina, she met and married the love of her life, Joe Hall.  The Halls made their final move back to Joe's home state of West Virginia where they raised their son, B.J. and enjoyed watching his many sporting events.

Annette is survived by her loving husband, Joe, son B.J., B.J.'s wife Kelci and their two young sons, Maddox and Turner.  She is also survived by her siblings, Ellen (Kevin) Pride, Karen (Tom) Taylor, Jo (Verlin) Nash, and Philip Andrew (Buck) Browning.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth Gertrude Browning and James Leroy Browning, as well as her sister, Janet Browning.

Friends and family may gather together from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral home In Beckley. Graveside rites and burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park at 1:30 PM on the 24th.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
