Annie Marjorie Bays Simpson, age 83, of Stanaford, WV passed away at her home on Sunday, August 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving  family.

Born on April 11, 1941 in Worcester, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Harold E.  Morgan and Evelyn Coons Morgan.

Mrs. Simpson spent her childhood in Wesbro, Massachusetts, and was a former inventory clerk for Pinecrest Hospital in Beckley, and a former switchboard operator in Massachusetts. She last worked as a demonstrator of products for Sam's Club in Beckley. Mrs. Simpson was a member of the Family Worship Center in Beckley, and enjoyed crocheting, and playing BINGO.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Simpson; a brother Harold E. Morgan Jr.

Those survivors left  to cherish her memory include her children, Mary Ann Morrison of Stanaford, and Clarence Bays and wife Kathy of Stanaford; grandchildren, David Bays and his wife, Stacy of Crab Orchard, WV, Rebekah Rutherford of Beckley, WV, Robert Allen Bays and  wife Colleen of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Ashlee Belcher and husband Joe of Glen Daniel, WV, and Amanda Delmoro and husband Pete of Stanaford, WV; great grandchildren, Hunter Bays, Ashley Cruise and her husband, Tom of Knoxville, TN, Briana Sargent and her husband Corey of Crab Orchard, WV , Haven Cruise, Kylie Cruise, Mackenzie Sargent, and Blake Sargent, Halee Belcher, Alexis Smith, and Josiah Belcher; a great-great grandchild Trea Cox, with baby Bays soon to be born. She also leaves behind her special pet, Gracie.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 1 PM with Pastor Luke Hodges officiating.  Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
