April Ann Holley

April Ann Holley, age 51, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital from a long illness.

Born September 8, 1974 in Mullens, WV she was the daughter of James and Sheila Bowers.

April graduated Independence High School in 1992. Shortly after she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing.

In 1996 became a mother to her first daughter, Hannah Breanne, and then to Halee Brooke in 2001. She spent many years thereafter caring for her two daughters who she loved very much.

In her early career she enjoyed customer service where she made life long friends. In later years she was in Property Management in several states with her husband, Brent Holley, whom she married in 2013. April and Brent loved traveling and visited many landmarks across the U.S. that they had always dreamed of seeing.

She is survived by her husband Brent, her daughters Hannah and Halee, her mother Sheila Johnson, her sisters Racheal and Sarah, her grandchildren Zion, Adelaide, Curtis, Cohen, and in laws Joseph and Brenda Holley.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Bowers Jr.

April had a fiery spirit, and spent her life being headstrong. The people she loved she protected and did the most she could for them. She wasn't afraid to have fun and made the best of everyday, and always found light in the dark. She was a very strong woman from beginning to end, and was loved so very much.

A private service will be held for closest family and friends.
