Arnold Lee Campbell, 71, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 6, 2026, after courageously living with COPD for many years. Born on October 6, 1954, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Emory Hunter Campbell and Edna Grey Bowling Campbell, Arnold lived a life defined by hard work, laughter, and an unwavering love for his family.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Michael "Mike" Campbell and Emory "Wink" Campbell; and his sister, Edna "Gayle" Bowling.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Tonya Rodes and her husband, Matt; his grandsons, Jakob and Nicholas Rodes, who brought him immeasurable joy and endless pride; his brother, Jack Campbell and wife, Emma; his sister, Marsha Saye and husband, Rick; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were made brighter simply by knowing him.

A graduate of Stoco High School's Class of 1972, Arnold was born in Bluefield and raised on Sullivan Rd, where he learned the value of hard work and determination. He owned and operated a successful construction business for over 20 years and truly loved woodworking and was well known for his talents before putting his talents to use in several other trades, including appliance sales and automobile sales. There wasn't much Arnold couldn't build, repair, explain, or figure out. He truly was a jack of all trades, and if he didn't know the answer, he'd have one by the end of the conversation.

When he wasn't working, Arnold was happiest spending time with the people he loved. He enjoyed watching classic westerns, tending his to garden, cooking, and making his famous grilled cheese sandwiches for his beloved grandsons Jakob and Nicholas. A simple tradition they will forever hold close to their hearts.

Arnold possessed a rare gift for making people laugh. He was incredibly witty, endlessly curious, and could strike up a conversation with absolutely anyone. He always had a joke to tell, a story to share, or an interesting fact tucked away. He never met a stranger, only someone who hadn't laughed with him yet. One of the greatest voids Arnold leaves behind is the inability to call him for advice or to pick his brain. He always seemed to know a little something about everything. While his advice was usually spot-on, his family will lovingly admit that Arnold didn't always follow it himself which, somehow, made his advice even more memorable.

While our hearts are broken by his passing, we are forever grateful for the countless laughs, the wisdom he shared, the lessons he taught, and the unconditional love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he made, and the memories that will continue to bring smiles for generations to come. He built a beautiful life, and the foundation he left behind will never fade. *Fly High, until we meet again*

Per Arnold's wishes he will be cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
