Barnie Christopher White Jr.

Barnie Christopher White Jr. age 78, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, peacefully at his home with his loved ones by his side.

Born and raised April 16th, 1946 in Eccles WV, Barnie went on to join the Air Force where he spent 4 years in Minot, ND.  After leaving the Air Force he went to work for Ford Motor Company in Lorain, OH for 15 years.

Barnie was quick witted, smart, and loved to make people laugh. His favorite things to do were to work on cars and go fishing.  He was a Nascar fan and loved the Cleveland Browns.

He was preceded in death by his father, Barnie Christopher White, his mother, Theda Jewel Barker Wills, his half brother, Jimmy White, his son Cory James White, his two step-children, Harry Bragg Jr. and Tammy Simpson, and his wife Bonnie Sue White.

He is survived by his daughter of Asheville, NC, Kristi White, granddaughter of Santa Cruz, CA Morgan Doyle, sister of Lake Tahoe NV, Sandra Wood, stepdaughter of Shady Spring, Carol Harvey and husband Dale Harvey, and step granddaughter Courtney Bragg and companion Robert Wilson and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Naomi Garcia for her time and care for Barnie. She graciously took care of Barnie after his stroke for 2 years and has become a part of Barnie's family.

Services will be held at Ghent Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00pm where Barnie served as a deacon, with Pastor Pete Pack officiating.
