Betty Belle Eads

Betty Belle Farley Cox Eads, 94, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.

Born in Jonben, West Virginia, on September 17, 1931, Betty was the daughter of the late Levi Stanton Farley and Nora Ethel Farley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Brady Cox; her daughter, Betty Sue Cox Wyatt; her sons, Lando Brady Cox, Sr., Charles Clyde Cox, Sr., Ivan Ray Cox, and Ronnie Dean Cox; her granddaughter, Christina Wyatt; her grandson, Marvin Stanley Cox, Jr.; three great-grandsons; and her siblings, Nellie Florence Farley, John Vernon Farley, Clyde Emerson Farley, Allen Edward Farley, Clownie Earl Farley, Teddy J. Farley, Bobby Joe Farley, and Franklin Roger Farley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Marvin Stanley Cox, Sr. and wife Vicky; her daughter, Carolyn Lou Cox Akers and husband Andy; her brother, Thomas Dewey Farley and wife Imogene; and her daughter Nora Lee Eads. Betty was also blessed with 17 grandchildren: Lando Brady Cox, Jr., Wilbert Cox, Ruby Cox Gill, Tesa Cox Bailey, Charles Clyde Cox, Jr., Henry Cox, Sandra Cox Cochran, Marcus Cox, Rena Cox, Brady Paul Cox, Jesse Cox, Melinda Wyatt Okes, Jennifer Wyatt Violette, Allen Wyatt, Dylan Cox, Ethan Cox, and Jamie Moretto. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Betty loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Camp Creek Community Church. She enjoyed tending her garden and preserving its harvest through canning vegetables, jams, and jellies for her family. She loved cooking meals and baking for relatives and friends. Betty also enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery work, and watching her favorite television programs, including Jeopardy!, Wheel of Fortune, and HGTV.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, aides, and staff of Princeton Health Care Center for the compassionate care, kindness, and friendship shown to Betty during her time there. Their dedication and support brought comfort to both Betty and her family and will always be remembered with gratitude.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, Shady Spring, WV on Friday, June 19, 2026 with burial to follow at the Drewry Farley Cemetery, Ellison Ridge, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 1 PM until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
