Betty Jane Stephens

Betty Jane Stephens, age 90, of Bradley, WV passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following a short illness.

Born on November 23,1933 in Kanawha County, she was the daughter of the late Dayton Holsten and Charlie Stanley Holsten.

Betty was a homemaker, and was of the protestant faith. She enjoyed taking care of her lawn and gardening flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Steve Stephens; by siblings, Edith, Margaret, Geraldine, Martha, Shelby, Doretta,Wanda, Roosevelt, and Charles, and by three infant siblings.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include brothers, John Holsten and wife Frances of Stanaford, Kenneth Holsten of Bradley, and Paul Holsten and wife Kathy of North Carolina. Two sisters, Billie Falks of Marsh Fork, and Iona Jarrell of Shady Spring; special friend Cookie Runyon of Mossy. Many nieces and nephews also survive. The family extends special thanks to Bowers Hospice House for the excellent care given to Betty.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley. Graveside rites and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley at 1:30 PM with Rev. Kathy Taylor officiating.
