Billy Joe Miller

Billy Joe Miller, age 76, of Corinne, WV, formerly of Itmann, WV went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

Born on December 19, 1947 in Welch, he was the son of the late Lemuel Miller and Audrey Gilmore Miller.

Mr. Miller was a retired coal miner. He loved the outdoors, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Miller and a sister Phyllis Ramirez.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Donna Johnson Miller; four children, Kimberly Ashley and husband Tim of King, NC, Tammy Harris of Hotchkiss, WV, Tina Church and husband Tim of Corinne, WV, and Angela Miller of West Columbia, WV. Two brothers, L.C. Miller of Lester, WV, and Jamie Miller and wife Brenda of Pierpoint, WV; five sisters Shelby Scott of Port Saint Joe, Florida, Mary Kiser and husband Doug of Mullens, WV, Peggy Jackson and husband David of Mullens, WV, twin sister Betty Beamon and husband Darrell of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and Sue Hogan of Mullens, WV. Eight grandchildren, Joshua Harris, Sara Walker, Markesha Harris, Christopher Harris, Cady Harris, Heather Workman, Hannah Ashley, and Ian Ashley; 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Calvary Assembly of God, Beckley, WV on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 1 PM with Pastor Lewis Arnold officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
