Bishop Ernest G. "Buzz" Keller

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, sibling and pastor, Bishop Ernest G. "Buzz" Keller, who  has entered into the eternal presence of his Lord Jesus, on Thursday evening November 13, 2025.

Born on November 2, 1945 at Wickham, WV, he was the son of the late Ernest Keller and Georgia Moore Keller.

For 54 years, Bishop Keller faithfully served as Pastor of Mabscott  Holiness Church, dedicating his life to shepherding the congregation and advancing the Kingdom of God. His life and ministry have touched countless individuals and families, leaving an indelible mark that only an  eternity spent in Heaven can fully recount.

Bishop Keller was retired from the WV Parkways Authority with over 30 years of service. While serving as Pastor of Mabscott Holiness Church, he founded the Mabscott Christian Academy in 1996. Bishop Keller was not only a pastor, but also a gifted musician, a prolific song writer, and a mentor to pastors. Above all, he will be remembered  for the extraordinary love he had for his family.

Bishop Keller was also a founding member of the Shade Tree Car Club, where he also served as Chaplain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Billie Dawson and Delores Cook, and his mother-in-law Sarah Dove.

Those survivors left to cherish his wonderful memory include his devoted wife of 60 years, Alice Pack Keller; his son and best friend Ernest G. "Ernie" Keller III and wife Laurie of Mabscott; his doting granddaughter Amanda Thomas and husband Jason of Beckley; his pride and joy, great granddaughter Ella Thomas of Beckley; bonus grandchildren, Jerry Stover, Cody Stover, Sydney Stover, Ty, Savannah and Arya Treadway; sister, Joan Kirk of  Coal City; brothers, Tommy Keller and wife Lois of MacArthur, and Joe Keller and wife Karen of Shady Spring; brother-in-law Rick Deeds and wife Beverly of Hinton; sister-in-law Cathy LeGrand and husband Joe of Beaver.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.
