Blenda Wicker

From Blenda's Family:

To everyone that knew Blenda, you know what pride she took in everything life had to offer. When she started experiencing health issues in 2024, that didn't change. Change came when time in public and visits from friends were limited. Being the social butterfly that she was, it saddened her to have such restrictions placed on her.

To everyone who continually encouraged her through cards, food deliveries, porch drop offs and communication,THANK YOU! You were there for her in dark times.

Through this journey, we watched God place Blenda in the path of many nurses, doctors and others to encourage them. She did that beautifully and with a good dose of laughter. Not surprising! She often told God that she "didn't like this" but if her suffering helped others, it was okay. That's our queen!

What we desire now is for Blenda to live on through memories, stories and laughter.

She requested no funeral service, only a graveside service in Ten Mile, Tennessee for family. We know you understand and we thank you. She also requested no flowers. Instead, she would like donations to be given to Beckley Dream Center, a ministry very close to her heart. She spent much time volunteering at the dream center. Donations may be sent to Beckley Dream Center, Attention: Marsha/Shelby, 224 Pinewood Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
