Bonnie Jean Testement Crews, age 79, formerly of Princewick, WV passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026 following a long illness.

She was born on August 30, 1946 to the late Mr. Henderson Testement and Shirley McVey Testement.

Bonnie was married to her life-long sweetheart, Billy Ray Crews since September 22, 1965. Together they tended a life in Princewick, where she loved to take pictures of her family, sew and quilt, and nurture her many, many plants. They truly loved their family and have special places in all their grandchildren's hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years; two sisters, Sandra Perez and Pauline Wilson; a close brother Chester Testement; grandson Robert Gillespie. Bonnie was also preceded in death by a very special aunt, who was like a mother to her, her children and her grandchildren, Viola Placidi.

Left to cherish her memory are her two children, Carl Crews (Mindy) of Sophia, and Theresa Crews Handy of Blue Jay; two cousins who were more like sisters, Anita Placidi and Sheila (Terry) Buchanan, both of Sophia. Nine grandchildren, Crista and Brandon Sykes of Blue Jay, Cara and Jerry Blevins of Mabscott, Candi and Josh Nelson of Crab Orchard, Courtney and Zach Foley of Beckley, Caitlin and Marvin Potter of Hinton, Tara Handy of Texas, Brian Handy of Blue Jay, Sarah and Ryan Pauley of Sophia, and Madison Mitchem of Sophia. 26 great grandchildren, Hunter, Connor, Brooklyn, Cannon, Emery and Daxton of Blue Jay, Brynlee Coleman of Lester, Bodhi Blevins of Mabscott, Sylas, Zeek, Taber and Caliah of Crab Orchard, Jonah and Alayna of Beckey, Cali, Cora, Ryan, Mila, and Luca of Hinton, Kimberly, Fiona, Sava, Leo, Zedd, and Athena of Texas, and Aaron Pauley of Sophia.

Other family left to cherish her memory are her siblings: John (Lee) of El Paso, Texas, Richard (Brenda) of Oak Hill, David of Blue Jay, Loretta Buzbee of Bradenton, Florida, Tammy Testement of Tampa, Florida, and Brenda Testement of Wesley Chapel, Florida; a sister in law Ann Testement of Midway.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM. A visitation with the family will be held from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home. A private burial will follow at the McVey Cemetery at Sullivan, WV.
