Bonnie Faye Stump

Bonnie Faye Alberty Stump, age 77, of MacArthur, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV following a short illness.

Born on May 3, 1948 in Raleigh, WV, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Reba Mae Farris Shrewsbury.

Mrs. Stump had worked as a cook and also in the housekeeping department of Hilltop Nursing Home. She was of the Church of God faith, and had made her home at Scarbro, WV, before moving to MacArthur. Mrs. Stump enjoyed taking care of her dog, "Tiny Man".

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Roger Alberty and William "Bud" Stump Sr; a daughter Tammy Alice Hatcher; by brothers, Paul, Cletis, Danny Gene, and twin brother Jay Shrewsbury; a great-great grandchild Trinity.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Roger Darrell Alberty and wife Frances of Crab Orchard, Noah C. Alberty and wife Patricia of Crab Orchard, and Jerry Lee Alberty and companion Misty of Scarbro; a sister Rita Kay Kelly of Hilltop; a brother David Wayne Shrewsbury and companion Denise of Crab Orchard; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate the Life of Bonnie Alberty Stump will be held at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Jarrell officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
