Brenda Gwen Wooldridge, age 48, of Mount Olive, NC passed away at Wayne UNC Health in Goldsboro, NC on Thursday, July 24, 2025.

Born March 6, 1977 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Allen and Rosetta Allen Daniels.

Brenda was a kind, tender hearted woman. She loved listening to music, playing games and all things arts and crafts. She had many titles in her life; daughter, sister, wife and mother but her absolute favorite was being a grandma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Eddie Ray Wooldridge II. Two sisters, Bonnie Gaye and Connie Lilly and a brother, Sidney Allen Jr.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her best friend and fiancée, "old man" as she preferred to call him, Michael Flinta of Mount Olive, NC. Her children; Carrie Rico and husband Thomas of Seven Springs, NC, Edward Ray Wooldridge III and wife Christine of Kinston, NC, and Nikita Wooldridge of Mount Olive, NC. Two sisters, Barbara Hawks and husband Ricky of Mount Airy, NC, and Beverly Gore and companion John Hajenga of Pittsboro, NC. Two step sisters, Donna Deal and husband Dwight of Tuscaloosa, AL and Loretta Oxyer of Dunbar, WV. Seven grandchildren; Addison Leigh, Bryson Coy, Arliss Michael, Isabella Jayde, Benjamin Noah, Maddox Phyre and Ophelia Fern. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her precious fur baby, Pinto.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2pm. Burial will follow at the Dequasie Gwinn Cemetery at Lockbridge, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Family members will be the pallbearers.
