Brian Keith
Brogan
Sep 20, 1972 — Sep 16, 2026
In loving memory of Brian Keith Brogan, who passed away in his home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at the age of 53. He was an absolutely beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Brian was born on September 20, 1972 in Beckley, WV. He went to school in Shady Spring and was known for his strong work ethic. He was proficient at many things, and spent years working as a plumber and heavy equipment operator. All those years were a testament to his strength, determination and dedication to providing for his family.
Brian had a long list of hobbies and passions. He loved hunting and fishing with his brothers and stepson. He enjoyed riding his Harley- Davidson Motorcycle with his brothers and friends. He was a huge fan of NASCAR, specifically Dale Earnhardt. He even tried his hand at gardening. He traveled any chance he could, often going to Florida with his daughter and niece to visit their special family friend George. Seeing Alaska and Ireland were some of his favorites. Most of all, he was proud of his truck. Anyone that knew him will remember his old Toyota Tacoma decorated with camo tape.
Brian was an incredible father who found joy in the simple moments of being a dad. He would work long hours, and afterwards could still be found having tea parties with his daughter, pulling his stepson through the snow on a sled, or exploring the woods surrounding his cabin with his son. His love for his children was a meaningful part of who he was, and the memories they shared with him remain a lasting part of his life and legacy.
Brian was the kind of person to be remembered not only for all of his accomplishments, but for the way he made people feel. He had a personality that could never be forgotten. Anyone who knew him remembers his amazing sense of humor, his passion for the things and people he loved, and the things that made him uniquely him.
Brian is survived by his mother Linda Carr, step father Gerald Carr, daughter Hannah, son Jacob, step son Austin, brother John, sisters Destiny and Emily, step brother Wayne and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Johnny, brother Chris and stepbrother Jason.
Though he is no longer here, his life and memory will continue on in the people he loved, the stories told about him, and the countless memories he gave to those who knew him.
Brian will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
According to Brian’s personal wishes, there will be no services.
