Brother George Pendergrast

Brother George Washington Pendergrast, age 94, of Beckley, WV, formerly of Coal City, WV passed away to be in his Heavenly Home on Sunday, November 10, 2024, surrounded by family who loved him very much and his  precious wife.

George was born on December 12, 1929 at Cinderella, WV. He was a minister and enjoyed to sing in church. He attended Teel Apostolic Church and also loved his church family very much.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Sarah Hatfield Pendergrast; by his first wife, Helen Pendergrast; a daughter, Melinda Bell Stewart.

George is survived by his devoted wife Anna Fox Pendergrast; a son, Greg Pendergrast of Michigan; nine step children; five grandchildren, and four great grandchildren, along with numerous  step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Funeral services to Celebrate the Life of Brother George Pendergrast will be held at the Teel Apostolic Church in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 6:00 PM with Bishop Gary Blankenship and Pastor Gary Blankenship Jr. officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday at the church. A private burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV on Thursday morning.
