Bruce Witt Anderson

Bruce Witt Anderson, age 86, of Grandview, WV passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Born on August 6, 1938, Johnstown, PA he was the son of the late Jennings Bruce Anderson and Helen Marie Anderson (Witt).

Mr. Anderson was a retired school teacher from Raleigh County Schools for over forty dedicated years, sharing many stories and connecting with his students throughout the years. Bruce was known and loved by his community. Mr. Anderson was not only a dedicated teacher, he was a U.S. Army Veteran as Lieutenant Colonel. Full military services will be held in his honor.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Nancy Jane Anderson, his beloved daughter, Michelle McKinney, his brother, Ronald Anderson, his mother, Helen Anderson and his father, Jennings Anderson.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory are his granddaughters, Tearson McKinney and Shea Tacchia; his brother, Donald Anderson and sister-in-law, Lana Anderson. As well as his sister, Bonnie Wareham and brother-in-law, Scott Wareham. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11 AM at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM until service time at the mausoleum on Thursday. Entombment will follow after the services at the mausoleum.
