Bruce Harvey

Eugene Bruce Harvey, age 66 of Daniels, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born January 25, 1959, he was the son of Eugene Harvey and wife Samantha of Ghent, WV, and the late Janet M. Harvey.

Bruce was a 1977 graduate of Shady Spring High School and was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Harvey; his wife of 33 years, Janice, on September 26, 2023; a stepson Mike Bostic.

Surviving are his father Eugene Harvey and wife Samantha; his brother Troy and wife Patricia of Daniels, and their daughter Eva Mae Collins and husband Matt, and their children of Daniels; a stepson Adam Bostic of Beckley; step grandson Michael Bostic; step great grandchildren, Angelina Brooks and Jacob Brooks, and Makaylee Presley.

Bruce never considered them step; he loved them as if they were his own. He also leaves behind the daughter that he never had, Mindy Alderman Crews of Sophia; a friend of over 60 years, Ronnie Coleman and wife Susan of Shady Spring, and many other friends.

Bruce wanted to thank everyone at CAMC Cancer Center of Beckley, who cared for him for several years, and to Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 2:00PM with Pastor Richard  Carbaugh officiating. Burial will follow at the Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at Flat Top, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Troy Harvey, Tommy Cooper, Matt Collins, Ronnie Coleman, Robbie Coleman and Brandon Peters.
