Bryan Lacy Bjork, age 49, of Flat Top, WV passed away unexpectedly at his
home on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Bryan was born on November 24, 1971 in Beckley, and was raised in Flat
Top, WV. He was the son of the late Sandra Elaine Graham Bjork and Stephen
Wallace Bjork of Flat Top.
Bryan was a registered nurse for over 26 years, a medical examiner for
multiple counties in West Virginia, a former employee of Mountain State
University's Forensic Department, and a former athletic trainer for the West
Virginia Miners. Bryan enjoyed and loved the game of baseball. He cherished
every moment watching his children Stephen and Haley at their baseball games.
Bryan enjoyed fishing, shooting and going on vacations with his children.
Bryan was preceded in death by his mother Sandra Elaine Graham Bjork.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his children, his
son Stephen Bjork, and his daughter Haley Bjork; his father Stephen W. Bjork and
girlfriend Shelby Setliff of Flat Top; his brother Kevin Moerke and wife Dezi
Zhoa of SC; his sister Tiffany Moerke and wife Katrina Yockey of SD; his niece
Ashli Bragg and husband Coleman Bragg and their two children Everett and Boden
of VA; his nephew Dillon Moerke and wife Taylor Moerke and their son Colton of
VA; his children's mother Chrystal Darnell Bjork of WV; and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the Life of Bryan
Bjork at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Sunday, May 23,
2021 at 2 PM with Rev. Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Moerke, Eddie Graham, Zelmar Lilly Jr.,
Caiden Meadows, Eric Hatcher,and Dillon Moerke. Honorary pallbearers will be
Tanner Muovich, Brian Stump, Logan Stump, and Zelmar Lilly Sr.
