Byron Ross Billings, age 71, of Kegley, WV, formerly of Mullens, WV passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on March 19, 1954 in Mullens, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Arnold Billings and Charlene Vanhoy Billings.

Mr. Billings had worked as a coal miner, electrician, and lastly as a welder. He was a member of the Old Grove Chapel in Crab Orchard. Mr. Billings enjoyed woodworking, gardening, hunting, fishing, and singing and playing his guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Isaac Billings; by siblings Brenda Dent, Douglas and Ronnie Billings.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 20 years, Marie O'Neal Billings; his children, Roselyn Isenhour and husband William of Hickory, NC, Candace Basham of Wake Forest, NC, Melissa Cecil and fiancé Roger Collins of Cool Ridge, and Jimmy Cecil and fiancé Lillie Collins of Brookwood, Alabama. Siblings, Belinda Akers and husband Otis of Vance, Alabama, Stephen Billings of Kegley, Pamela Hull of Clemons, NC, and Robert Billings and wife Linda of Kegley. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Billy Waddell Jr. and Rev. Mickey Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
