Carl Norman Keaton

Carl Norman Keaton, age 95, of Meadow Bridge, WV went to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

Carl was born on August 18, 1929 to Virgil and Hettie Birchfield Keaton.

Carl enjoyed living on his farm since March 1962, and he loved camping and fishing. He made his living as a coal miner, mostly employed by Slab Fork Coal Company. Carl was loved by everyone that knew him.

Carl was a member of Meadow Bridge Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in years past as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent.

He was preceded in death by his dear wife Ramona; his mom and dad Virgil and Hettie Keaton; his brothers Clinton, Jerry, Tom, and Walter Keaton, and a granddaughter Lisa Lynn Butcher.

Carl will be greatly missed by his children, Freda Fay Acord, Leonard Earl Keaton (wife Shelia), Rita Kay Kincaid (husband Gary), James Dean Keaton (wife Rita Gay); 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his only surviving brother, Frank Keaton (wife Shelby).

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Martin and Pastor Chase Whitten officiating. Burial will follow at the Keaton Family Cemetery at Meadow Bridge, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
