Catherine Lewis

Catherine Lewis, age 70, of Beaver, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026 in Charlotte, NC after a long illness.

Born on May 01, 1956 in Cleveland, OH, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Virginia Cantley.

Cathy was raised in Cleveland, OH and spent most of her life in Dry Creek, WV raising her family. She then spent her final years in Beaver, WV before moving to NC months before her passing.  She was a member of Beckley Church of God and had a passion for spending time at the beach, riding horses, spoiling her dog Lexi, and being with her family. Cathy loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother above all else. Family meant everything to Cathy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sarah Lewis and her siblings Loretta Burwell and Charles Cantley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her brother and sister-in-law, Chris Cantley & Janie Gould. Her children, Jessica Hines (partner Scott Galloway), Jennifer Davis, Joshua Lewis (partner Celia Laverty), Brooke McMillion (partner Kevin McMillan), and Alison Adkins (spouse Dustin Adkins). Her grandchildren, Madison Black, Wyatt Hines, Adam Davis, Isabella Davis, Lucas Davis, Victoria Davis, Evan McMillion, Bentlee McMillion, Mya Adkins, Eli Adkins, Ian Adkins, and Jaxon Adkins. Her great-grandson Adrian Davis. She also cherished her time with her granddaughter in law Mackenzie Lively and close friends Joshua Payne, Kay Sprouse, & Betty Knox, among other friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home with Bruce Brown officiating.
