Cecille Irene Mcdaniels

Cecille Irene McDaniels, age 88, of Beckley, WV, formerly of Odd, WV passed away on Monday. April 28, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born on April 10, 1937 in Rhodell, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Fred Walton and Lillie Polk Walton Johnson.

Mrs. McDaniels was a retired cosmetologist, and a member of Mount Vernon Church of Lanark. When health allowed, she enjoyed family gatherings and spending precious time with her family. She loved her church family, and serving the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry F. McDaniels;  brother Fred Walton Jr., and sisters Edith Hargraves, Ann Blackburn, and Cheryl Johnson, along with an infant sister Drema Walton.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Linda Matthews, of Beckley, with whom she shared her home; sons, James F. McDaniels and  wife  Trina of Sophia, and Joey L. McDaniels of St. Petersburg, FL.; grandchildren, Katina Matthews of Beckley,  MacKenzie McDaniels of Beckley, Bradley McDaniels of Sophia, and Brian McDaniels of Sophia; a great grandchild Taylor Tredway; a brother Tim Johnson of Round Lake, IL; sisters Zelma Price of Clearwater, FL, Rita Pendley and husband Leaman of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Linda Pendley of Round Lake, IL, and Connie Phillips of Mayfield, KY.

Graveside Rites and burial will be held at the Odd Cemetery at Odd, WV on Monday, May 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Damon Hamby and Pastor Brian Wallington officiating. Friends may visit with the family thirty minutes prior to the services on Monday at the cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
