Charles Allen Chambers, age 76, of Beckley, WV passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Beckley VA Medical Center, in Beckley, WV.
Born on August 19, 1949 in Grandview, WV, he was the son of the late Carol Allen Chambers and Edith Douglas Chambers.
Mr. Chambers was a former carpenter, and was a Disabled Veteran, having served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Linda Lewis Chambers; a son Christopher George Chambers; two sisters Carol Chambers Jajcinovich, and Peggy Lynn Chambers.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of nearly 5 years, Cathern Lovell Chambers; a son Michael Allen Chambers and wife Loretta of Bradley; a brother, Delmar Chambers and wife Myrtle of Beckley; a sister Pamela Jerousek and husband James of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Corey Chambers, Nathan Chambers, Sarah Lilly, Kyla Chambers, and Meghan Byers; great grandchildren, Stella Chambers, Kristopher Murray, and Marley Chambers. Step children, Cindy Farrell and husband John of Cranberry, and Jeremy Bays and wife Kate of Pittsburgh, PA; step granddaughter Cailee Swearengin and husband Logan of Glen White; four step grandsons, Noah Bays, Nicholas Bays, Jonah Bays, and Jude Bays; a step great grandson Benji Swearengin.
A Service To Celebrate The Life of Charles Allen Chambers will be held at the Sprague Freewill Baptist Church, in Beckley, WV on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at 3:00 PM, with Pastor Fred Lovell Jr. officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday at the church. According to Mr. Chambers' personal wishes, cremation will follow.
