Charles Emmett Farley

Charles Emmett Farley, age 76, of Cool Ridge, WV passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at his home following a short illness.

Born on November 18, 1947 at Cherry Creek, he was the son of the late Zina and Genevieve Meadows Farley.

Charles was a retired power line installer, and was a US Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict.  He enjoyed farming, and doing mechanic work on his  Ford F150.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by brothers, Ricky Dean Farley and Roger Lee Farley; two sisters Carol Sizemore and Linda Farley; nephew Richard Dean Cernuto.

Those survivors  left to cherish his memory include his sisters Rosemary Warman of Beckley, and Brenda Cernuto of Shady Spring, and a brother David Farley of Cool Ridge. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Chapel on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 1 PM with Elder Keith Mills officiating. Burial will follow at the Hill Cemetery at Pipestem, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tyler, Josh, and Cody Sizemore, Brian Warman, David Farley, and Greg Helm.
