Charlina “Charlie” Kay Sizemore

Charlina "Charlie" Kay Simmons Sizemore, age 57, of Beaver, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Greenbrier Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.

Born on March 22, 1966 in Beckley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Fabian Simmons Jr. and Linda Raines Blaylock.

"Charlie" as she was affectionately known, was a 1984 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and graduated from Mountain State University  with a degree in Medical Assistance.  She worked at Raleigh General Hospital until becoming disabled.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Covey and Thelma Raines.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include three sons, Tyler Sizemore and wife Ashley of Cool Ridge, WV,  Cody Sizemore and companion Natalie Blake of Cool Ridge, WV, and Joshua Sizemore of Grandview, WV; her grandchildren, Ella, Emmalyn "Emmy", and Samuel Sizemore of Cool Ridge; a sister Tammy Davis (Kelly) of Maple Fork, WV; a niece Jennifer Davis and her son Matthew of Beckley, WV,  and a nephew, Cameron Davis of Maple Fork, WV. She also leaves behind a close friend and care giver, Lorrie Ayers of Coal City, WV.

Charlie was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted sister and aunt, and will be missed by many.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on  Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at noon  with Pastor Eric Davis officiating.  Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
