Charlotte Mae Owens

Charlotte Mae Owens, age 75, of Crab Orchard, WV passed away at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV on Christmas Day, Monday December 25, 2023.
Born at Oakvale, WV on November 24, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Melvin Duncan and Bessie Lena Johnston Duncan Ellison.

Mrs. Owens was a homemaker, and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed working word  puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Earl William Owens; a granddaughter Michele Owens; a brother Johnny Duncan; two sisters  Sarah Redden and Cliffene Richardson.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter Lisa Nicholson and husband Lindy of Spotsylvania, Virginia; three sisters, Tootsie Hamilton of Haymarket, VA, Katie Powers of Kilmarnick, VA, and Donna Boyd of Castle Hayne, North Carolina; a brother Lloyd Duncan of Crab Orchard;  six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four step grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to Celebrate the life of Charlotte Owens will be held at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 3 PM Rev. Keith Manning officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
