Christopher Kevin Holcomb

Christopher Kevin Holcomb, age 47, of Beckley, formerly of Coal City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 11, 2025, following a courageous battle with complications from pneumonia.

Born on June 16, 1978, Chris was the son of Dean and Teresa Akers of Princewick.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and one cousin.

Chris attended Unity Church in Mabscott. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, reading the Bible, drawing, spending time with friends and family, and sharing a great laugh with those he loved.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory along with his parents include his children Krista and Raven; siblings, Amber (Chris), Ginger (Davey), William (Mindy), Kevvy (Nicole); his special companion, Yunie; his best friend Eric Hutchens and wife Stacie; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his cat Shadow.

The family would like to personally thank the staff at RGH and Select Specialty Hospital at CAMC Memorial for all of the quality care and support given to Chris and family.

Funeral services  will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at  2:00 PM with Rev. Eric Hutchens officiating. Burial will follow at the House of Prayer Cemetery at Mitchell's Ridge, WV.

Pallbearers will be Davey Duncan, Jr., Clayton Duncan, Stephen Barrett, Christopher Barrett, River Hutchens, and John Thompson.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
