Connie Sue Bailey

Connie Sue Bailey, age 74, of Sophia, WV, went to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Russell Bailey at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Sunday, January 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 25, 1951 at Amigo, WV, she was the daughter of the late Conley Hayworth and Lola McKinney Hayworth.

Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband Russell Bailey; by brother Donald Farley.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include children, Susan  Doss and husband Mark of Lester, WV,  and David Mills and  wife Lesli of Sophia, WV; a brother Ronald Hayworth and wife Debbie of Petersburg, WV; seven grandchildren, Derek Tanner of Sophia, Skylar Martin of Sophia, Kaylea Martin of Sophia, Titan Dunbar of Glen  Daniel, Christien "Turtle" Mills of Lewisburg, Parker Withrow and Landyn Withrow, both of Midway.

The family extends special thanks to the Raleigh Center, and Bowers Hospice House, for the loving care given to our mother and grandmother, Connie Sue Bailey.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Jacob Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
