Dallas L. Clay

Dallas L. Clay fought the fight, kept the faith, and finished his race at 9:40 p.m. on April 28, 2026, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born on April 2, 1951, in Saulsville, WV, he was the son of Walter and Edna Clay.

Mr. Clay was a retired employee of Wal-Mart of 25 years, but most know his smiling face from Walker's PicPac, later known as United Super, in Mullens, WV. He faithfully attended Sandbranch Worship Center until his health would not allow him. He lived a selfless life and loved every person he met; if you had the privilege of knowing him, you loved him. He lived and truly showed the love of Christ to anybody he crossed paths with. Even in his last moments, all he wanted was to go to the House of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother James (Jim) Haynes, Kenneth (Damon) Clay, and Terry Clay; brother-in-law Charles Clay; and his twin great-granddaughters Khloe and Kiley Parker.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years, Nina Clay; his daughters Angie (Roger) Large and Melinda (Jason) Price; his son Dallas Lee Clay; his grandchildren Kaylee Lynn (Michael) Parker, D.J. Large, Madison Edens, and Owen Clay; and one great-granddaughter who was the light of his life, Kassie Mae Parker. His brother Junior (Betty) Clay, his sister Wanda Clay, his brother Robert (Carol) Clay, and sister-in-law Nikki Clay.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Linda and Jimmy next door for the compassion and care they have shown, and a special thanks to the Home Health and Hospice workers who came in and provided amazing care for not just Dallas, but the family too. Also special thanks to Elaine Massie who came several days a week to help care for him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bowers Hospice House in honor of Dallas.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life Of Dallas Lynn Clay on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM, at the Amos  E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley,  with Pastor Ken Souder and Mr.  Roger Large officiating.  Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday.

Dallas Lee, Keith Stewart, Michael, D.J., Jessie Belcher, and Allen Stewart will serve as pallbearers.
