Dallas Mason Lilly

Dallas Mason Lilly, 79, of Shady Spring, WV. Passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025 at his home following a sudden illness.

Born in Coal City, March 14, 1946, he was the son of the late Hurcial Clayton Lilly and Jewell Maxine Lilly.

Mr. Lilly was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, serving rank as a Sergeant in the Military Police, stationed in California and also served a tour in Vietnam.

Mr. Lilly was a devoted family man and was well known for his business of DML Welding over 20 years, where he established friendships with many, to include a special friend Richard Knop.
Mr. Lilly was known for his sense of humor and the ability to make others laugh. Mr. Lilly was loved and will be missed by many. Mr. Lilly was a member of Cool Ridge Baptist Church, where he attended several years.

Mr. Lilly was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 49 years, Deborah Lee Lilly, brothers Fredrick Hurcial Lilly, Roger Lilly, Douglas Preston Lilly (infant brother) and sister Judy Wilson.

Surviving siblings include Susan Szoke of Shady Spring, Sidney Lilly of Beckley, Lois Johnson and Roseanne Lilly of Hollywood Fla. Surviving family members include Scott and Lynn Lilly of Cornelia Ga, Andrew Lilly and Madalyn Lilly (grandchildren) of Ga., Colsen Jace Lilly (great grandson), Skyler Allen (special great niece), as well other special nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to family who assisted in caring for Mr. Lilly during his illness, providing him with care and love.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 12:00pm at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Chapel in Beckley with Rev. Danny Gilfilen officiating. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Prosperity, WV. Friends may pay their respects from 11-12pm.

Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
