Daniel Pauley

While our hearts are broken, we know Heaven is rejoicing as Daniel Pauley, 56, entered his eternal home and went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 6, 2024, following a sudden illness.

Born February 1, 1968, in Germantown, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Earl "Sonny" Pauley and Diane Pauley.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Earl and Ruth Pauley father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Betty Grow and by a special uncle, Freddie Hall and aunt, Shelby Procopio.

He is survived by his soulmate and devoted wife of 34 years, Tina, his loving daughter, Kasi and her husband, Kyle and by his pride and joy, "Paw's Boys" - Cole and Cameron. Also surviving are his parents, Earl Pauley (Peggy Bennett) and mother Diane Pauley, a sister, Paula Ann Pauley, a special aunt, June Hall and aunt, Ruth Silberholz, cousin, Pam Hall, brothers-in-law, Jimmy Grow (Sherl) and Jerry DiLorenzo (Rhonda) and by best friends who turned into family literally, Chad and Wendy Stewart; adopted daughter, Mercedes Huybert, who he loved as his own. Also, nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, many special cousins and many friends.

A resident of Beckley and graduate of Oak Hill High School, he was employed by the City of Beckley as a carpenter and his group of guys referred to themselves as the "Studly Old Fellers." He previously worked for 25 years at the Fayette County Park, where he was a mechanic and took care of the Fayette County Sheriff's cars and other vehicles. An accomplished welder, he made many of the light features on display at the annual Lacy Lights.

He faithfully attended Ghent Church of God. In the past, he and his wife served as youth leaders, where they were instrumental in sharing the love of God with teens, impacting their lives by leading them to Christ. He loved singing and at one point he was even in a group, "The Guys Next Door." After that he sang on the worship team at First Assembly of God and Lanark Church of God. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, camping and side-by-side trail riding. More than anything, he loved making memories with his wife, daughter, son-in-law and his boys.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Ghent Church of God at 6 PM with Pastor Allen Travis officiating. A visitation will be held two hours prior to service time.
