Danielle Mercer

Danielle Michelle Mercer, age 37, of Beckley, West Virginia, passed away at the University of Pittsburgh Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Born on July 22, 1987, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Robert Michael Black and Karen Workman Black of Beckley.

Danielle was a homemaker, and was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and attended West Virginia Tech. She attended Faith Community Church in Beckley and enjoyed caring for her dogs.

Danielle was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert and Josephine Workman, and Orvis and Harriet Black.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her parents, Robert Michael Black and Karen Workman Black of Beckley; her husband Jacob Mercer; her special pets, Denver, Josie, Mabel, and Oliver.  Several aunts and uncles also survive.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday February 23, 2025 at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, with services to begin at 3 :00PM. Danielle's uncle Donald Black will officiate the services. Burial will follow  at the Calfee Cemetery at Mount Tabor, WV.  Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
