Danny Gene Stover

Danny Gene Stover age 76 of Cool Ridge, WV passed away on Thursday June 27, 2024 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born on September 1, 1947 in Artie, WV, he was the son of the late John Stover and Beulah Maynor Stover.

Danny was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways, and was a United States Army Veteran.

He was a previous owner and operator of a paving business, and attended Cool Ridge Community Church.  Danny enjoyed playing the guitar and the violin, and also had a great singing voice.  He loved all animals, especially dogs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Elaine Stover; a  step son James Wesley Scarbro.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include  his wife Farris Elaine Dunbar Stover; a daughter Hayley Kerns and husband Brandon of Beaver; granddaughter Bethany Shacklett and husband Jonathan of Hope Mills, NC; a sister Sue Thompson of  Soddy Daisy, TN.  Numerous  step grandchildren also survive.

Graveside rites and burial will be held at Blue  Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV at 11:00 AM Friday, July 5, 2024 with Rev. Ronnie Lilly officiating.

There will be no visitation.
