Darvin Holliday

Darvin Max Holliday "Taz" age  64 of Shady Spring, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 1, 2025 in North Carolina, surrounded by his daughter, son, and son-in-law  by his side.

Taz was born on February 4, 1960 in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late William Glen Holliday and Naomi Bryant Holliday.

Taz had a love for traveling, a passion for shooting pool, drag racing, and was a  jack-of-all- trades.  He loved meeting new  people and making them laugh (never met a stranger).  He also had a contagious smile that would light up a room.  He loved his family dearly; his children were his world. Taz will  be greatly missed by  all who knew him.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Marilyn Smith and husband, Brandon of Shady Spring; a son, Darvin M. Holliday II and wife, Farrah of Selma, NC;  grandchildren, Bayleigh, Sydnee, and Annistyn of Shady Spring, Brodey, Bensyn, Paisley, Greyson, and Hudsyn; a sister, Dana Spencer of Beaver, and a brother, Bob Holliday of Beckley.

Funeral services will be conducted to Celebrate the life of Darvin Max "Taz" Holliday at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Ricky Hamrick officiating. Burial will  follow at McElhenney Cemetery at Grassy Meadows, WV. Friends may visit  with the family from 11:30 AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
