David Ray Foley Sr., age 75, of Beckley, WV, formerly of Herndon, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born on May 23, 1950 in Killarney, he was the son of the late Billy Foley and Cora Robertson Foley Graham.
Mr. Foley was a retired coal miner, and a member of Basin Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, searching for ginseng, and was an avid "coon hunter". Mr. Foley loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded death by siblings, Jimmy Reed, Robert Reed, Gary Reed, Isaac Reed, Judy Norman, and Patricia Adkins.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Lusk Foley; four children, Billey Foley and wife Crystal of Crab Orchard, Deliah Bishop and husband Duane of Bud Mountain, David Foley Jr. and wife Margaret of Lashmeet, and Kimberly Hall and husband Joseph of Beckley. Brothers Frankie Reed of Rhodell, and Allen Reed of Amigo; sisters, Melissa Strumbo and husband Bud of Egeria, Ruby Birdsong of NC, Shelia Shrewsbury and husband Bruce of Barkers Ridge, Carol Musselman of Rhodell, and Linda Reed of Rhodell and Vickie Mills and husband Johnny of Egeria, WV. Three grandchildren, Caitlin Foley, Adrian Foley and Amber Foley and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Charles Arnold McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at the Lusk Cemetery near Basin, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
