David Ray Morton

David Ray Morton, age 66, of MacArthur, WV went home to be with the Lord at his home on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Born in Beckley, WV on December 27, 1958 in Beckley, he was the son of John Morton of Grandview, WV, and the late Mary Vance Morton.

Mr. Morton was a retired carpenter and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Morton loved the Lord with all his heart.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brothers, Willard Morton.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory other than his father, John Morton, include his wife of nearly 42 years, Shelia Meadows Morton; a daughter Angela Cooper and husband John of Sophia; two brothers Ricky Morton and his girlfriend Jessica of Grandview, and Johnny Morton and wife Teresa of Grandview; three sisters, Patricia Ratliff and Peggy Ratliff, both of Beaver, Nevaeh Morton of Grandview. Grandchildren, McKenzie and Cheyenne, Cooper, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at noon with Rev. Shane Roark officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery at Grandview, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
