It is with great love and deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved mother, Deborah "Debbie" Gail Foster, of Beckley, West Virginia, who left this world on Friday, November 7, 2025, after a brief illness. She passed peacefully at Bowers Hospice House, surrounded by family.
Debbie was a beautiful soul who loved deeply. Some of her happiest moments were spent laughing with family and friends, and listening to her husband's band, Hit and Run. Music was woven into the rhythm of her life, it brought her joy, connection, and so many precious memories. Above all, her heart belonged to her family and to her beloved dog, Chloe, who was truly her constant companion and most cherished friend.
Debbie was born on May 5, 1959, to the late Woodrow and Verna Legg, and spent her entire life in Beckley, a community she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Greg Foster; her sister, Phyllis Winters; and her brothers, Kenneth and Gene Legg.
She is survived by her daughter, Lennie Church of Beckley, who will forever hold her mother's love and wisdom close to her heart. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Robert Legg of West Chester, PA, and Gary Legg and wife Martha of Martinsburg, WV; her aunt, Ann Huffer of Asheville, NC; and one niece and several nephews who adored her.
Our family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Bowers Hospice House for their care and compassion, and to all who have shown love and support during this difficult time—it has meant more than words can express.
As she wished, a private ceremony will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Bowers Hospice House / Hospice of Southern West Virginia at www.hospiceofsouthernwv.org .
Debbie's laughter, kindness, and light will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Private online condolences and other expressions of sympathy may be directed to the family via our guestbook at www.roseandquesenberry.net .
Arrangements are by Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home, 1901 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV.
