Dennis Edward Akers

Dennis Edward Akers, age 71, of Daniels, WV peacefully passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Born June 16, 1953 in Sophia, WV he was the son of James and Betty Snyder Akers.

He proudly served in the Navy for three years with an honorable discharge.

Dennis met his wife Carolyn at Beckley College in 1977 and they were united in marriage in 1979. He attended Perry Memorial United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Akers, brother, Michael Akers, and a loving and supportive uncle, Donald Gene Akers and his wife Dee of Warrenton, VA.

Dennis wished to be cremated with no service. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to Perry Memorial Methodist Church, 100 Perry Lane, Shady Spring, WV 25918.
