Derrick Shane White

Derrick Shane White, 40, of Wyco, WV peacefully passed away on March 13th, 2024 at Raleigh General Hospital.

Born January 25th, 1984, he was the beloved son of James and Tracey White of Wyco, WV.

Shane was a graduate of Wyoming East High School class of 2002 where he played football. Later in life, if he wasn't busy making someone laugh you could find him on a golf course or in the woods hunting or hiking. He was a deputy for the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department for 17 years and recently worked at Alpha Resources.

Along with his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his son, (DJ) Derrick Shane White Jr, his sister, Jessica Ellison, his two nephews Brayden and Bryce, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and no services will be held.
