Dillard Ausbin Johnson

Dillard Ausbin Johnson, age 88, of Crow, WV passed away at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division in Charleston, WV on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

Born on January 30, 1936 in Crow, he was the son of the late Otis Johnson and Clara Kirk Johnson. He was a graduate of Shady Spring High School, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America.

Mr. Johnson was a carpenter and a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church, and enjoyed farming and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Johnson; siblings, Evelyn Lucas, Glennis Johnson, Deloris Gossett, Loretta Facemire, Marilyn Roberts, Freda Hensley, and Robert Johnson.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 56 years, Shirley Bryant Johnson; daughter Pamela Tyree of Crow; grandchildren, Chase Johnson of North Carolina, Dakota Tyree and Shane Tyree both of Crow.

A sister, Dana Richmond and husband Ray of Crow. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 3 PM with Pastor Rollan Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at the Pittman Cemetery at Crow, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Pete and Frank Sauchuck, Brody Richmond, Ricky Richmond, Scott Hensley, and Jacob Farmer.
