Donald Roger Lester

Donald Roger Lester, age 76, of North Sand Branch, WV passed away at his home on Thursday, July 17,  2025.

Born on September 13, 1948 in Baileysville, WV, he was the son of the late Buel Lester and Norma Jean Riffe Lester.

Mr. Lester was a retired coal tipple employee, and was a United States Army Veteran. He was of the Church of God  faith, and enjoyed fishing, boating and building houses. Mr. Lester especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Lester was preceded in death by a grandson Waylon Buel Lester.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife  and the love of  his life for 38 years, Dreama Justus Lester; his children, Roger Lester Jr. and wife Tina of Virginia, and Scott Lester and wife Karri of Kentucky; step children Janice Hagerman and husband William McCoy of Beckley, WV and Clayton Hagerman and wife Leona of Pax, WV. Brothers, Travis Lester and wife Marcella, Dennis Lester and wife Donna, and  Glenn Riffe and wife LeeAnn, all of Hanover, WV. A sister, Sheila Lee of Ikes Fork, WV. Grandchildren, Alexis Lester and fiancé Greg Hare, Isaiah Lester, Liam Lester and wife Morgan, Macon Lester and wife Laken, Austin Hagerman, Alissa Bowling and husband Robert, Amber Hagerman, Autumn Hagerman, Aiden Hagerman, Ashlynn Hagerman; step grandchildren, Hollie McCoy and Austin McCoy; a great grandson Landon Bowling.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 7:00 PM with Elder Sam Walker officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral home.
