Donald Murray Taylor

Donald Murray Taylor, age 91, of White Sulphur Springs, WV went home  to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at the Rainelle Health Care Center in Rainelle, WV.

Born on March 16, 1934 in Pikeville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Bruce Marcum Taylor and Lillie Chaney Taylor.

Mr. Taylor grew up in Williamson, WV, and had made his home in White Sulphur Springs, WV for over 40 years.

He was a  retired Correctional Officer for the State of WV, and was a former employee of the N&W  Railroad and also C&O Railroad.

Mr. Taylor was a member of Wild  Meadow Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs, where he served as a deacon. He was  also involved in the building process of  the new church.

He was a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Taylor enjoyed gardening when health allowed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Frances Taylor; by siblings, Jean Roberts, Gladys Varney, Betty Cronin and Jack Taylor; a grandson Matthew Belford.

Those survivors left to cherish his  memory include his children, Donita Taylor of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jeff Taylor and wife Jennifer of Frankford, WV,  Keith Taylor and wife Leigh Ann of Frankford, WV, Terri Seldomridge and husband Donald of Lewisburg, WV., and Mark Taylor and wife Missy of White Sulphur Springs, WV;  a brother Michael Taylor of Gallion, OH; 13 grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Memorial Services will be conducted to Celebrate The Life of Mr. Donald Taylor on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Wild Meadow Baptist Church on Route 92, White Sulphur Springs, WV  with Pastor Donald Fury and Pastor Lowell O'Dell officiating.  A meal will immediately follow the services at  the church.
