Donna Lou Duncan

Donna Lou Duncan, age 70, of Sophia, WV passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born on August 23,1955 in Beckley, she was the daughter of Barbara Rae Harvey Adkins of Daniels, WV, and the late Rev. Lee Preston Adkins.

Mrs. Duncan was a former beautician of Harvey's Wig Villa. She was of Church of God faith, and enjoyed singing gospel music and spending time with her family. Mrs. Duncan particularly loved taking care of her dog, Susie.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Lee Preston Adkins Jr., and one granddaughter Nicole.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 32 years, Thomas Frederick  Duncan; children Kelly Graham of Sophia, and Michael Morton of Beckley; stepchildren, Tenisia Jarrell of Beckley, Teresa Duncan of Beckley, and Mary Lou Duncan  of Sullivan. Five  grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother Mark Adkins and wife Ann of Daniels; a sister Jackie Doolittle  and husband Russell of Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at noon with Bishop Franklin Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount View Cemetery at Cool Ridge, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
