Doris (Kirk) Moorehead, 87, of Rantoul, Il, passed into her eternal resting place on January 26, 2024.
Doris was born to the late Joseph "Abe" Baisden and Ida Mae Fry Baisden at Lundale, WV on February 18, 1936.
She was the loving and caring wife of the late John Mason Kirk and Arnold Moorehead where they made their homes in Beckley, WV.

Her loving mom and dad instilled the meaning of religious faith not only in her but all their children. From a very young age her faith in Christ would bloom and continue to flourish until she saw her Savior face to face. She was a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church for many years before making the move to Rantoul, IL in order to be close to her daughter.
Doris was very kind and loving from an early age. She loved the role she played in helping take care of her baby brothers and sisters. She was a kind and loving mother who worked hard to make sure her children were taken care of. Those who are left to cherish her memories take comfort in knowing that Doris is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
