Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Rupe

Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Rupe, age 77, of Beaver, WV passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

She was born on August 24, 1948 at home in Meadow Bridge, WV. Her birth was assisted by one of her favorite aunts Erma Meadows of Nimitz, WV.

Everyone who knew Libby knew how much she loved Christmas. She had Christmas trees and decor in every room during the holidays. Not only was her home decorated, she was always willing to help others decorate. She may have chosen this time of year knowing how the church would be decorated for her service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Pauline Ballard, two sisters, Alice Wills and Sandra O'Neal, and her son, Jonathan Rupe.

Libby is survived by two daughters Christina and Sarah, son-in-law Drew and grandchildren Christopher, Anna and John. Her dearest friends Aneta, Donna and Patty have supported her during her good and most difficult times.

Her life will be celebrated at Oak Grove Christian Church in Beckley, WV on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2 PM with Pastor John Whittmann burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her son Jonathan at Oak Grove Cemetery next to the church she loved. Friends may visit with the family from 1 PM until service time on Saturday at the church.
