Ella Marie Long, age 77, of Cool Ridge, WV passed away at Summers Health Care Center in Hinton, WV on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

Born on December 9, 1948 near Logan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Deloris Elliott and lovingly raised by the late Marie Richmond.

Mrs. Long was an avid crafter who loved decorating for every holiday. Her work won several awards at the WV State Fair. 

In addition to crafting, she enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, her numerous pets, and puzzle games. She was an avid reader and was previously very involved with the Boy Scouts of America

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, James Lee Long, a daughter Tracey, and several brothers and sisters.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her son Daniel Stover and several brothers and sisters.

A committal service will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11 AM. A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until service time on Thursday at the mausoleum. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
