Ellen Campbell

Ellen Mae Morrison Campbell, age 68, of Sophia, WV passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV.

Born on May 16, 1956, in Stanaford, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Morrison and Helen Withrow Morrison.

Ellen retired from Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and enjoyed caring for horses.  Ellen also enjoyed softball, bowling and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her long-time companion, Scarlett Gillespie.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her siblings,  Victoria Paul and husband Edward of Cincinnati, OH, Debra  Bowman and husband Bo of  Jewett, Illinois, and Mark Arnold Morrison of Stanaford, WV;  a sister-in-law, Tammy Campbell Cline and husband, John of  Piney View, WV;   William Gillespie of Jumping Branch, WV, who was like a son to Ellen;  special nephew, Tyler Morrison and a special niece, Molly Paul, along with many other nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind special friends, Crystal Mahone and Kathy Bailey.

A memorial service will be held to Celebrate the Life of Ellen Campbell on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley, WV.

The family extends special thanks to Tonya, Lisa, and Steph from Hospice of  Southern West Virginia for the excellent care given to Ellen during her illness.
